Work as an independent support worker for Autism Abilities on The Autism Site doing meaningful work you are passionate about. As an independent contractor you have the freedom and flexibility to pursue your other commitments including other work, you can choose when, with who, and where you work. Plus you have access to support from an experienced team wen you need it, access to a network of potential clients in your area, and the peace of mind that comes from being associated with an established NDIS registered service provider.

To be successful in your application, it is essential that you have knowledge and experience of autism and supporting autistic people in a neuroaffirming, person-centred and strengths based way. If this sounds like you we'd love to hear from you!
Great rates for your service are offered and we expect exceptional and reliable service in return. Your rates vary according to the day and time of shifts, based on the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (effective from 1 July 2025) minus Autism Abilities service fee (15%). We expect our support workers to be exceptional and have the skills and knowledge required. Hone your skills further with access to regular free training delivered by Autism Abilities team of behaviour support and allied health professionals. Some of our upcoming training topics include:
Payments and invoicing tasks are taken care of for you. Simply submit your invoices and shift notes to us each week and you'll receive payment the following week. Easy! Payment is made directly to your nominated bank account each week by EFT.
Every shift is covered by our comprehensive insurance cover giving you and your clients total peace of mind.
If an incident occurs during a shift or if you run into any issues, you can reach out for support and assistance from the Autism Abilities team.
